Is my money real?

No. Swiss Vault holds no real money and is connected to no payment rails: no balance, transaction or transfer exists in the system today. Nothing you could do here would move a rupee anywhere.

How do I sign in?

Yes, today: sign-in is live. A customer number and a password, checked against a stored hash, open a session.

That is not the whole of the design. Once Access โ€” the separate Android approval app described below โ€” exists, signing in will take two things: a password on this site, and an approval on your enrolled phone. A password alone will not be enough to open a session by then.

What is the Access app?

Access will be the separate Android application that approves things; it is designed but not yet built, and arrives several milestones from now. When you enrol it, the phone will generate a signing key inside its own secure hardware and register only the public half with Swiss Vault. The private half cannot be copied off the phone, and every use of it will require your fingerprint.

Approving a sign-in or a payment means the phone signs a single-use challenge with that key. The app shows you what is being approved and three numbers, and asks you to tap the one shown on the web page. That step exists because a prompt with one Approve button teaches people to tap without reading.

Who can see my data?

Inside the system, staff roles are separated: an officer who reviews applications, a compliance analyst who screens them, an auditor who can read the audit record but change nothing, and administration of the system itself, among nine roles in total. Every decision on a customer record is written to the audit trail with the name of the person who made it, and so is every download of a document.

Outside the system, the identity documents and details you submit through account opening are real and are kept โ€” an officer reviews the same record you submitted.

What happens if a payment is held?

This is the design, not something you can trigger today: no payment exists in the system yet, held or otherwise. When one does, the money will not move on a hold. A held payment will not be a payment that has gone through with a warning attached: the funds will stay where they are, a case will open, and a person will decide it. You will see the payment listed as held, and the reasons the risk engine recorded will be kept with the case.

The same rule will apply when the risk engine cannot be reached at all. Payments will queue for review rather than default to allowed, because a control that fails open gives confidence without protection at exactly the moment protection matters.

How do I report a problem?

There is no support desk, no telephone line and no inbox behind this site. Swiss Vault is a project built by one person, not a business with staff, and putting a contact form here that nobody reads would be worse than saying so.

If something on the site is wrong, it is a defect in the project rather than a problem with an account: no account here holds a balance, a transaction or a transfer yet. What the project is and is not is set out on the legal page.
